Pastor’s Report (Ministry Year End Report 2025):

#1 The Word was Preached:

2 Timothy 4:1-2 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

·         Sunday Morning Worship Service:

o   1 Timothy: “Healthy Church” - Finished the Healthy Church series in 1st Timothy with 11 final sermons in 2025 after the series was on hold for over a year. Sermons ranging from topics on widows, elder qualifications and various topics, work and calling, and how we should relate to money.

o   Gospel Newness - a three-part series about how the gospel makes us new in a variety of ways (New Life, New People, New Unity)!

o   John’s Three Letters - A series sequel in the Johannine epistles revisiting 1st John which we had gone though in 2020 with 4 summary sermons on the tests of 1st John, then moving on to explore new areas in 2nd John and 3rd John on the topics of warning about schismatics in the church, divisive people, and church bullies.

o   Religious Hard Hearts - Multiple sermons coming to a full circle close stemmed and starting from challenging truths that started with Matthew 23 in the past, moving on to 1 Corinthians 11 and “Redeeming Contentious Communion,” and then a sermon on Genesis 50 titled; “God turned it for good” about Joseph’s suffering and God’s providence through it all. But then this year we brought this providential series to a close with a follow up sermon closing out Matthew 23’s Woes to Religious Hard Hearts after exploring of similar themes in 3rd John in dealing with church bullies.

o   Matthew 19-28 “Kingdom Sacrifice” - We had put this series on pause to finish up 1st Timothy, but then after we finished the Healthy Church series, we picked back up at the end of Matthew 23 (see above) and really dove into the Mount Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24-25 with 7 sermons on Jesus’ end times sermon dealing with the prediction of the destruction of the temple and also instruction about the end of the world!

o   “The Wonder of Jesus” – A VBS sermon on the person and work of Jesus to match the theme of our full week of teaching at FBC Gallatin.

o   A Very Merry Christological Christmas – A 4-part Christmas series exploring the deep things of Christology seeing: Part 1 – The Pre-Existent Son, Part 2 – The Mind-Blowing Incarnation, Part 3 – God the Son Incarnate, Part 4 – Truly God and Truly Man.

o   Individual Sermons - Multiple one-off single sermons were preached from different passages by various preachers on Sunday morning (Pastor Wood, Our DOM Keith Corrick, Kyle Taft, & Pastor Daniel). Sermon texts ranged from an Easter sermon Plagiarizing Peter on Easter, Blessing to Praising from Psalm 67, Teach them Diligently Deuteronomy 6, Trust God Over Chariots Isaiah 31, The Better Priest in Hebrews 7, Lead Your House in Joshua 24, Unwanted Redemption in Exodus 6, The Justification Gift in Romans 5, Itching Ears from 2 Timothy 4, Atonement from Hebrews 10, Your Kingdom Come from Matthew 6, Mission Drift from Luke 4, Eschatology from Daniel 7 & 9, and Disobedient Obedience in Acts 4.
