FBC Gallatin,
The Lord Jesus Christ is risen and we celebrate that every Lord’s Day during our weekly gatherings, but this coming Resurrection Day Easter Sunday is going to be a glorious opportunity to put the death, burial, and resurrection front and center in song and prayer and preaching! Come expectant to worship God and proclaim the Lord’s death and resurrection until he returns again in the future!
We will have breakfast together before service at 9:30, and then our worship service will be at 10:40 where we will seek to glorify God together in a Word centered service – where we will sing the Word with songs informed by scripture, pray in light of the Word to our holy God, preach the Word, and hear the Word as we all receive the good news of the Gospel afresh! Next week we will be able to see the Word as we partake in our monthly Lord’s Supper remembrance together as the elements picture the good news of the Gospel for us.
Speaking of next week, the Sunday following Easter, on 4/12/26 we will be voting on our 3 non-vocational Pastor/Elder/Overseer candidates regarding whether or not we want to call them to be our pastors alongside me. The last three weeks have been so encouraging hearing each of them preach faithful biblical sermons to us!
Kyle Taft preached a stirring sermon on Psalm 46 on 3/15/26 and pointed us to our sovereign God who rules and is in control of all things.
Then Micah Sidebottom preached Joshua 3 the following week on 3/22/26 and called us all to trust our triune God who alone can deliver us from sin and death just as he has been delivering his people throughout history.
Last week, 3/29/26, we heard Wood Marshall preach yet another faithful sermon that we have grown accustomed to over the last decade as he pointed us to a vision of loving, biblical, self-sacrificial parenting instead of selfish, harsh, and unbiblical parenting in a sermon titled; “A Tale of Two Parents” from 1 Samuel.
It will be our job as a church to participate in meaningful membership and wield the keys of the kingdom that Jesus gave us in Matthew 16 & 18 to decide together if the Lord has sent us these men as gifts (see Ephesians 4:11-16) to help lead FBC Gallatin into the future.
I can tell you that there is no doubt in my mind that these are godly, gifted, qualified men, and I am looking forward to voting affirmatively on all three of them next week! Please be praying for them and the whole church during this monumental season at FBC, that God would be glorified and the church would be strengthened – Not only in the vote, but also in their potential future work as a plurality of Elders alongside myself teaching, leading, and caring for the church.
Sincerely,
Pastor Daniel Pelichowski
Ephesians 4:11-13 "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ"
