FBC Gallatin,

It was a joy to finally officially install/ordain two additional Elder/Pastors to join me to shepherd the flock together at FBC Gallatin (1 Peter 5:2)! The stage decorations fit well with the service as new shepherds were being charged to care for, lead, love, and tend the flock which of course matched the Psalm 23 sheep/shepherd VBS theme perfectly! This was a historic day in the life of our church because it marked the first time in our over 150 year history that we have called and formally recognized Pastor/Elder plurality including non-vocational/lay Elders to become shepherds of FBC Gallatin alongside me as we shepherd the flock together! Our former DOM from over 5 years ago Alan Brock participated and preached a stirring message titled: "The Pastors Job Description" and pastors and a few of our deacons joined us to pray for both Micah Sidebottom & Kyle Taft at the end of the service. They both were installed to pastor FBC Gallatin, but only Micah was ordained because Kyle had already formerly been ordained in the past. Two of FBC Gallatin's former pastors were also there with us to pray as former associate/youth pastor Wood Marshall and also our former senior pastor Garrett Trunk joined us to celebrate the big day and pray for both of these new pastors of FBC Gallatin!

This was a huge and historic day for the whole church as we all unanimously voted and decided to move forward with a plurality of Elders in our December 2025 members meeting. We then started 2026 with a topical series titled "Pastor/Elder/Overseers" to identify the character and competence qualities for our future elder nominations. And after that series, the church nominated these candidates and we voted on them in April to affirm and call these brothers to pastor FBC alongside me! And now, after a few months delay, with a lot of unexpected moving parts, we finally had the celebration and formal installation and ordination service on July 19th! You can watch the service on our YouTube channel if you missed it.

After this wonderful day, we moved into an eventful and joyful week of VBS using Answers In Genesis' Emerald Crossing VBS curriculum, and we all had a blast! All the leaders worked so well together to teach and serve our community providing nightly meals, Bible teaching from the Elders switching off throughout the week, fun games, learning catchy songs and hand motions related to Psalm 23, doing fun crafts, and just having a blast together!

Next month in August, we get to witness a Deacon installation on the 16th as well as a church picnic later that afternoon. We will also be voting to enter into the Resound Network Church revitalization and renewal process with Alan Brock who will be our main contact participating and coaching us through that process together as a church!

There are so many wonderful things ahead, please pray for these newly installed pastors and for their wives and children as they undertake this new calling and office of Elder, and please pray for the upcoming Deacon installation and also pray about the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Resound Network process. And please pray for me as I continue to prepare to preach the Word finishing up our Psalm 23 2-part series, and then getting back to land the plane in our Matthew series completing the final few chapters soon! Sincerely,

Pastor Daniel Pelichowski
