FBC Gallatin,

The Lord has been good to us to provide back to back months with new gifts to our church in adding two pastor/elders in July and then also having a Deacon installation this month in August! Praise God for his faithfulness in providing faithful men to FBC Gallatin to shepherd the flock in a plurality of Elders and also to serve the flock in a plurality of Deacons! I preached a sermon pointing to Jesus as the chief or ultimate example of a Deacon who serves from Mark 10:45 that says: 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” We also saw in that sermon that Deacons not only serve like Jesus, but that they also unify the church and free-up the Elders for the work of Word centered ministry by meeting practical needs of service in the church body. I am so thankful for godly qualified Deacons, and for godly the qualified Elders of FBC Gallatin.

August was a busy month, not only installing a Deacon, but also a wonderful church picnic at the Dungy's house, and also voting to enter into the Resound Network Revitalization and Renewal process through our denomination to continue our revitalization growth and efforts. Alan Brock was a former DOM of our association and knows us well, and now is in his new role as a church renewal strategist in Western Missouri, so he fit right in sharing about the process with us and helping us get started together to glorify God by growing and considering additional ways in how we can best reach our community to God’s glory. The Elders are excited about the plan ahead including a new Fall 2026 table talk semester on church renewal that I will be leading on Thursday nights with our church (starting on September 24th). We are also excited to go through the 40-day Renew and Resound devotional together starting next month as well which I will hand out on September 20th!

More to come next month, but please be praying  for the plurality of Elders and Deacons as we seek to love and care for the flock together, that we would be unified, and that we might glorify God together! Also, pray for yourself and the other members as we all seek to take up our responsibility as members of the church together to glorify God by being built up in the faith and reaching out to our community with Great Commission intentionality as our mission statement reminds us.

I am praying for you church, please also pray for me as a finish up the Gospel of Matthew in September with 4 final sermons (The King’s Burial, The King’s Resurrection, The King’s Commission, and King & Kingdom). This will mark the end of our third and final series through Matthew (Kingdom Sacrifice Matt 19-28) and will also mark the 77th overall sermon through the entire book of Mattew that began 7 years ago in our first series Kingdom Come (Matt 1-7) and then led to a later subsequent series Kingdom Power (Matt 8-18). To finally be getting close to the end of this magnificent Gospel is such a joy as it has been quite a ride considering the person and work of Jesus together all these years! God's Word is wonderful and multifaceted and Jesus is glorious!

Sincerely,

Pastor Daniel Pelichowski
