FBC Gallatin,

You’ve heard the phrase: “so and so is the… real deal” haven’t you? Well, the only truly real deal that we know is Jesus Christ! You can say he’s a wonder of all wonders!!! And that has been the theme of our Answers in Genesis VBS this past week at the end of July and start of August! The Wonder Junction has highlighted the Wonder of the Lord Jesus Christ!

And it has been a wonderful week to be in wonder at Jesus! It’s been a busy week to be sure, with lots of kiddos coming through, and so many leaders serving very faithfully, but it has been a joy to wonder in the savior!!!

Can you imagine, that God the Son, the second person of the trinity, no beginning or end, the creator of the universe, took on flesh to dwell with us??? That’s a wonder!!! The baby born for us and our salvation.

Or what about a savior who spit in mud and rubbed it on the eyes of a blind man? Only for that man to be healed and given sight??? Or a man full of demons, delivered from even more than a battalion of demons… Rather, a whole legion exited that poor soul on that wonderful day when the wonderful savior delivered that man in an instant…

Can you feel the gravity and wonder of the cross? All history was moving to the cross, and all history flows out of it… And the cross was so great because of the wonder of Jesus’ resurrection on the third day! A dead man in a tomb, arose and came out to never die again… Amazing!

And do you realize that the wonder doesn’t stop? Not 2000 years ago, not today, not anytime in the future??? The wonderful savior we are in awe and wonder about, is returning again in his future second coming! Where all tears will be wiped away, and all death and sin will be ended.

Do…. You… Wonder??? If not, todays a good day to start! Wonder in Jesus!!!

Sincerely,

Pastor Daniel Pelichowski

P.S. Remember we have our annual church picnic coming up on August 17th at Lake Viking where we will swim, play, fellowship, and eat together from 4:30-7:30 and beyond for anyone who wants to stay until sunset!!!
